Sunny and Jonathan’s wedding was a day of joy shared with their beloved friends and family. You can really tell that friendships mean a lot to this couple as a lot of their friends have taken part to help out and participate in ways to make this day so memorable for them. The day started out beautiful as we went to Manassas Battlefield to take some bride and groom portraits. The sun lit up the fields of gold and casted a warm light upon their expressions for the photos. Sunny and Jonathan couldn’t help but smile when looking at one another. The ceremony at the church they attend was meaningful and close to their heart. Sunny and her mom teared up when they hugged each other which made everyone else in the church cry as well. A group of their friends performed a song and dance as a means of congratulating the newlywed. It was such an eventful day and I had such a great time being a part of it. Congratulations Sunny and Jonathan!

Katie is someone I’ve actually seen several times as she was the pianist for some of the weddings I photographed. It was great to be able to finally meet her not just outside of the ceremony setting but also as a bride who I would be able to work with. Since the engagement session was planned for mid-fall, it only made sense to photograph it with the fall colored leaves. We went to Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore to spend the day shooting photos while getting to know each other. Young Ho had an unfortunate accident with a bird dropping on his shoulder right before the session began. Katie would complain at times about the smell which caused bursts of laughter throughout the session. I had such a great time with Katie and Young Ho. Looking forward to their wedding this winter!
 

Jane and Charles’ wedding was held at the beautiful venue in Roslyn, New York, The Swan Club. This venue was so decadent with it’s floral landscaping all complete with lush greens, beautiful flowers of every possible color, and a lake with swans. It truly was perfection. It was an intimate wedding with friends and family all ready to truly celebrate! Everyone had a great time and the dance floor was filled with guests from the beginning of the reception until the last dance. Julie was a part of the bridal party so she was able to enjoy the celebration as well. Congratulations Jane and Charles! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your festive wedding day!

Jeanie and Tim’s engagement session took place in two locations. Meadowlark Botanical Garden and Manassas Battlefield. We began at the garden and strolled along it’s path enjoying the beauty of the trees and flowers and stopping by occasionally for a photograph. Jeanie and Tim looked so picture perfect that so many people would come by just to have a glimpse of them. As the sun started to go down we changed locations to the battlefield where we would take the remaining portraits. Jeanie and Tim made these beautiful geronimo balloons with a long string of tassels that made it appear like a festival kite. We spent the golden hour in the fields with the sun casting its rays of gold upon them. This session could not have been more perfect. Thanks Jeanie and Tim for your hard work today. We cannot wait until your wedding day!
