Professional Photographers of America (PPA) is known as the world’s largest association for professional photographers and each year they hold an international competition for photographers across the globe. They also have an amazing magazine that we love!
We decided to enter the competition this year and came up with 4 entry images that we really enjoyed working on and thought would have a positive impact. Normally we edit with a light touch to keep our images “natural” but for the competition we retouched a bit more to get the images just as we envisioned them to be. The judging had live streaming available and we were able to watch the 3 days of judging live online and hear the comments and critiques from the judging panel. It was such an eye opening experience as they talk bout your work and point out things you would have never even thought of. I can understand how competition can help photographers in honing their craft.
We are soooo excited to share that 3 out of 4 images that were entered into this competition has been placed in their General Collection! Also, one of them will be featured in their Showcase book that will be printed!! This has been such an amazing experience. Thank you PPA for all that you do in the industry! And thank you to the clients featured in these images!
